The Center for Bicycle Repair offers a training course in bicycle mechanics and assembly that is open to anyone, no matter your level of prior mechanical experience. Our course covers all aspects of bicycle assembly and repair, students can expect to spend the majority of their time completing hands-on exercises.
Registration is free, all tools and equipment are provided by the school. The training course takes three months to complete. Students meet on average for 6 hours/week, during nights and on the weekend, at our training shop in downtown Kent, WA, just a short drive, train or bus ride from Seattle or Tacoma. Upon completion of our course, students will have the skills needed to work an entry-level position in a bicycle shop.
We also have bicycles for sale!
As part of our hands-on approach, students assemble bicycles under the supervision of the Center’s master mechanic. These bicycles are for sale and students share in the proceeds of these sales. Check out our sales section to see what sizes/models are currently available.
